Currently we are recruiting a Family Practice Physician for our rural iowa Critical Access Hospital in Clarinda, IA. Clarinda is located in South West IA. It is approximately 90 minutes from Omaha, NE., approximately 2 hours from kansas City, MO and Des Moines, IA.
 
 
Our position is for a Board Certified or Certification eligible Family Medicine. This is an employed position and would be in a Primary Care setting. We are in the process of building a new facility with a move in date of early 2012. We believe we have an exceptional facility with a well rounded Medical Staff. Most of the staff both physicians and extenders have been there at least 10 years. A recent we had a locum Physician stated upon his departure that this was the best facility he had ever worked in and would be happy to return should the need arise. I believe this tells our story better than anything. This is Midwestern America at its finest, and it is a great place to raise a family with a highly recommended K-12 Public School system, one private school K-8th and a community College. We are located thirty minutes from NW missouri State University in Maryville, Mo. Our community has a population of 5, 600 with a well manicured city which includes three parks and a health center for your recreation enjoyment including an indoor pool, basketball and racquetball courts and exercise equipment. Clarinda is a well rounded community for all ages.
This is a new internal medicine opportunity that has arisen from growth in the population. The position is based at a hospital attached clinic. The physician will see an average of 20 patients a day in this very manageable schedule. Work 4.5 days a week M-F. There is rotating call which is very manageable (1/6 ratio) and the physician never has to be there past 8PM when on call. Weekend call is optional.
There is a sign on and relocation bonus available. We will accept candidates with a Visa both H1 and J1.
5 weeks of PTO with life/health and disability coverage included as well.
This is an NHSC site and is elligible for loan forgiveness programs.
