Perot Systems Corporation is a worldwide provider of information technology services and business solutions to a broad range of clients. We are currently looking for an Onsite Customer Service Representative to join our team in Cincinnati, OH.
Job Summary:
This position assist in the collection process of self-pay and insurance accounts placed by Client Facilities and in providing superior customer service to Clients, Client patients and internal staff members.
Job Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain account records in both Client Facility and Perot Systems accounting systems.
- Retrieve and forward copies of explanation of benefits (EOB's) to the Nashville Support Center.
- Reprint and forward copies of UB92's and HCFA 1500's to the Nashville Support Center.
- Retrieve and forward copies of Medical Records to the Nashville Support Center.
- Interface with appropriate Client Facility personnel to research and resolve patient contact memorandums.
- Reprint and mail or forward copies of itemized statements to patients or the Nashville Service Center.
- Courteously field patient calls and patient walk-ins; assist patient if possible or coordinate handling the patient's request.
- Know and understand hospital policies for Insurance and Self-Pay: Charity Guidelines, Payment plan matrix and Insurance payor matrix.
- Assist in identifying and developing resolutions for issues and concerns of Client Facilities.
- Assist in the research of problem accounts or specific problem areas.
- Assist in the location of misapplied or unapplied payments.
- Other duties as requested.
Required Skills:- 1+ years of healthcare receivables experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Able to accurately type 30 words a minute or better.
- Ability to read and evaluate Healthcare Receivables Information.
- Ability to effectively and correctly communicate to Client Facility Staff as well as Internal Staff.
- Excellent reasoning skills
- Demonstrated ability to learn new programs and systems.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Ability to establish priorities effectively
- Dependable in both production and attendance
Minimum Educational Requirements:- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
